Spotlight on: Network Providers Serving Their Community
Each month, we turn the spotlight on the good work being done by PSSF Network providers across Georgia.
Here, you can read about their services and how PSSF helps promote safe and stable families through community-based, non profit organizations and county DFCS departments.
No One Alone (NOA) has released its annual report for 2008 entitled, “Changing lives: one at a time.” The organization grew out of a 1986 initiative by a group of proactive citizens who established a hotline to offer crisis intervention and resources to victims of domestic violence and their children. Their efforts paved the way to the establishment of NOA in 1990, with the shelter opening its door in 1992. Since then, the vision of NOA’s founders has been carried out in programs and resources to enhance safety and stability for thousands of victims of domestic violence and their children. In 2008, NOA provided services to 1,000 different people, a 22% increase over the year before.
