The Statement of Need is issued annually by the Georgia Department of Human Services, Division of Family and Children Services to seek proposals from non-profit organizations and public entities to provide coordinated community-based services to at-risk children and families in Georgia. Each proposal is reviewed and evaluated by an independent review team. Awards are made based on the results of a compliance and qualitative review, proposal’s responsiveness to the SoN, federal funding guidelines, and Departmental priorities.
