What Providers Learn: Providers learn about the impact and costs of child abuse, with a focus on sexual abuse. Learn facts about sex offenders, and how they work. Learn tips for responding if a child discloses abuse. Receive instructions for using Childhelp's Parent Support Package, filled with easy-to-use resources so that parents and guardians can teach important Body Safety Skills to the children ages 1-8 years in their own homes.
You'll be a certified GTBT Facilitator, with skills to teach Childhelp's Good-Touch/Bad-Touch Body Safety Education / Abuse Prevention Curriculum effectively at all Pre-K through 6th Grade levels. You'll also be certified to facilitate Establishing Healthy Boundaries with 7th /8th Grades. Each person who attends will be certified as a GTBT Facilitator, so they can teach Body Safety Education to children from Pre-K through Middle Schools, and will receive a Facilitator's Guide with the training.
Workshop Presenter: Molly Schultz, Master Trainer/Prevention Education Specialist. Mrs. Schultz has experience teaching Parent Education Classes with Love and Logic®; and is Master Trainer for Childhelp's Good-Touch/Bad-Touch® (GTBT) Body Safety Education Curriculum for Pre-K through 6th Grade.
