About the Training

This workshop focuses on understanding the basics of brain-based depression and anxiety and how these two conditions can impact one's daily functioning, relationships and self esteem. Whether it's a chronic, recurring or event-based response, participants will learn about the latest research on what works to turn the corner, take the edge off, maintain a sense of the positive and calm. While medication can be essential and helpful in many cases, the focus will be on alternative daily strategies and rituals that can enhance functioning and confidence. This workshop is for anyone who wants to help others, or themselves, rise above burdensome thought patterns and emotional ruts. Strategies will be tailored to both youth and adults.
