Catalyst for CARE Training - Child & Adolescent Functional Assessment (CAFAS) - February 26-27, 2009

Location:     34 Peachtree Street NW Suite 2240, Atlanta, GA 30303

Time:           8:30 am - 5:00 pm both days

Cost:           GAHSC Members    $150        Non-Members    $185

Attendees will be taught in detail how to rate the CAFAS and will be able to demonstrate their reliability. For persons previously trained to be reliable on the CAFAS Self Training Manual, 'booster vignettes are used to re-establish reliability.

Instruction on how the information generated by the CAFAS can be used to improve clinical services, including: generating treatment goals, identifying strengths, involving parents in treatment planning, monitoring progress during treatment, and linking CAFAS profiles to evidence-based treatments. Information on Outcome indicators which can be used to evaluate the progress of individual clients.

Functional Assessment requires participants to have a Bachelors degree or higher in a social services discipline.  Please be prepared to show your degree at registration the day of the training.  Please contact Jessica Cole for details regarding using work experience as a substitute for these degree requirements.
